Committee
Aetherica is brought to you by the following mugs lovely volunteers:
- Chair

-
Azar the Dragon
- Vice-Chairs
-
Rachael Livermore
-
Unlike Trillian, this young astrophysicist is not heading for the dole queue. A former treasurer of the Tolkien Society, she understands accountancy that even makes accountants' eyes cross. Rachael, who successfully ran Sectus 2007, stepped in as Gopher Dad (due to illness of the Gopher Mum) at the last moment at Eastercon 2008, and kept things working smoothly. - Andy
-
Serena Culfeather
Serena was Press Officer for Accio 05 and has since managed to end up doing lots of different things for lots of different conventions, most recently with Neil Gaiman and a giant pink pig.
-
Aetherica is an great opportunity to steal all the best ideas from other conventions and stcik them
together and with a fabulous venue and enthusiastic team, she's looking forward to Midsummer 2009.
In boring day-to-day time, Serena plays in her own, tiny laboratory and is a Quality Controller. Did I
mention I LOVE dragons? - Membership

John Wilson
John Wilson Started his con running activities with Interaction, the 2005 Worldcon where he did publications, publicity and assorted back office work, at con he worked at con signage, and whatever else needed doing at the time. He believes that there was a dammed good con out there somewhere, In between times he was part of the Accio 2005 committee (again supposedly a good con but John has few recollections aside from Ops and Reg desk) Most recently part of the Orbital 2008 Eastercon committee.

Hayley Marsden
As Site Liaison for Contemplation, the 2007 Eastercon, Hayley spoke to every hotel in the country with enough function space and some bedrooms before discovering the Crowne Plaza Chester. Having already built up a great relationship with the hotel, she's looking forward to doing it all again and making Aetherica even better. In the real world, Hayley is an Events Manager and lives with her daughter, Scarlett. In the not so real world, she spends entire weekends at LARP events, running around fields and forests pretending to be someone else.
- Tech
-
Misha Sumra
Long before he got into conrunning, Misha was doing AV, Sound and Lighting with Sheffield University's Technical Services Committee. When these skills became public knowledge, he found himself recruited as a techie for Cult TV '07, and Chief Technomancer for Sectus; somehow, he also wound up taking the role of Gopher Mum/Chief Steward/Volunteer-Wrangler at Orbital, the 2008 Eastercon. Now, he returns with (some of) the team that got him into this mess in the first place, in the hope of finally reclaiming his soul...
- Gopher Mum
-
Ross Younger
Ross has been reading fantasy and sci-fi for as long as he can remember and has previously helped out with Eastercon, DWcon and Oxonmoot. In real life he's a freelance software engineer but he hopes you won't hold that against him.
- Ops

DC
DC has been going to cons on and off as money and work permitted since the late 1970s. He was always determined to avoid getting drawn too heavily into conrunning, and this determination was so successful that he wound up running the Info Desk at Interaction, the 2005 WorldCon, rebooting Trout (the Glasgow SF fan meet), chairing Satellite 1, being Gopher Mum at Contemplation, and generally spending a lot of time lurking around Ops at various cons. After doing just that at Orbital he was determined to take it easy for a while, but Aetherica was just too good to miss.
